A collaborative project with Wilmington Symphony Orchestra
 
9 paintings tell the story of the Firebird.This is Scene 8. "Waking up" also known as "Final Hymn". This scene is when all the creatures that Koschei held captive revive and return to their natural human form.
The Firebird is a ballet and orchestral concert work by the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky.
These images were painted while listening to the music, incorporating the energy and emotion felt from the music and putting that into imagery on the canvas.
